The Algerian civil defense announced today, Saturday, that the child Ayoub was found deceased despite attempts to extract him alive from the well he fell into, expressing condolences to his family.

The civil defense stated in a statement that all human and material resources were mobilized for this operation to try to save him.

Rescue operations continued for more than 60 hours in the El Bayadh province in the southwest of the country to retrieve the child Ayoub after he fell into a dry artesian well in the Rakan area of the Ghasoul municipality, amid great anticipation and anxiety.

Civil protection and rescue teams raced against time in a highly complicated mission due to the well's depth and narrow diameter, which made direct access to the child nearly impossible, prompting rescue teams to adopt a plan based on drilling a parallel well to reach him from the side.
