Hezbollah confirmed today, Saturday, that the negotiation process followed by the Lebanese government with Israel has proven to be a failure, indicating that its continuation has contributed to providing cover for the ongoing aggression and Israeli occupation of Lebanon, and called on the authorities to reconsider their options and return to the national principles that protect the country's sovereignty.
Hezbollah stated in a statement followed by the Video News Agency that Israel continues to escalate its attacks with killings, bombings, destruction, and systematic explosions of homes and villages, noting that yesterday's aggression led to the martyrdom of four individuals and the injury of dozens more.
The party criticized the "ineffective direct negotiations" and the framework agreement with Israel, considering that the continuation of occupation and aggression, the shedding of Lebanese blood, and the destruction and explosions undermine any talk of achieving accomplishments through this path.
The statement accused the United States of providing partnership, cover, and planning for the aggression, noting that the escalation aims to pressure the Lebanese authorities to implement agendas, warning that the continuation of the current path could push Lebanon towards internal strife.
Hezbollah called on the Lebanese authorities to reassess their calculations and stop the arrogance and bickering, and to return to the unifying national principles. It also urged the Lebanese people to unify their stance and maintain Lebanon's strength, resilience, and sovereignty in the face of Israeli aggression.
