The BRICS group expressed concern about the increasing threats of nuclear danger and conflicts in a joint statement issued from the summit held in New Delhi on Saturday, according to "Reuters".

The group reiterated in its statement, which was reviewed by the "Video News Agency," its commitment to a peaceful resolution of international disputes through dialogue, consultation, and diplomacy.

It emphasized the necessity of engaging in conflict prevention efforts, including addressing their root causes.

The statement also highlighted the need to work together to maintain the smooth flow of global trade and supply chains for energy.

It called for a multilateral approach that respects diverse national viewpoints and positions on critical global issues.

The BRICS group includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, and the United Arab Emirates.

The group was founded in 2009, and together, the member countries account for more than 40 percent of the world's population and nearly a quarter of the global economy.

Chinese President Xi Jinping described the bloc as a "leading group" in the Southern Hemisphere and a model for self-reliance among emerging and developing countries that should promote innovation-based development.
