A new shipment of cash dollars will arrive in Iraq in the coming days.

The government spokesman Haider Al-Abboudi announced today, Saturday, that Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaydi has reached agreements with the United States to continue sending cash dollar shipments, affirming that a new shipment of cash dollars will arrive in Iraq in the coming days.

Al-Abboudi stated in a press talk that the "result of Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaydi's visit to the United States was reaching an agreement to continue sending cash dollar shipments to Iraq, which will help meet legitimate needs for foreign currency, and a new shipment will arrive in the coming days."

He added that "this agreement comes in light of the progress Iraq has made in enhancing its monitoring system for dollar distribution and regulating its uses, and reducing cases of misusing foreign currency, alongside expanding electronic payment methods and moving towards a gradual transformation to a digital economy."
