The Central Statistical Organization announced today, Saturday, an increase in the general consumer price index in Iraq during August 2026 by 0.7% compared to July, while it rose by 3.3% on an annual basis compared to August 2025.

According to the data reviewed by the News Video Agency, the general consumer price index in Iraq during August 2026 reached about 110.9, compared to 110.1 in July 2026, recording a monthly increase of 0.7%.

On an annual basis, the index rose to 110.9 in August 2026, compared to 107.4 in August 2025, marking an annual inflation rate increase of 3.3%.
