The Prime Minister, Ali Falah Al-Zaydi, discussed today, Thursday, the signing of a joint investment agreement between Iraq and the European Union and the participation of European companies in this year's Baghdad International Fair during his meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Clemens Semeter.

The media office of the Prime Minister stated in a statement received by the Video News Agency that Al-Zaydi emphasized the importance of Iraqi-European relations, particularly in the economic field and diverse investment sectors, in addition to cooperation in the banking sector and enhancing trade.

The Prime Minister called on European companies to take advantage of the investment opportunities available in Iraq, along with the facilities provided by the government to investors, as well as the availability of labor and raw materials for many industries, noting that the Development Road project will serve as a factor to enhance economic relations between the East and the West.

For his part, the European Union Ambassador congratulated Al-Zaydi on the completion of the ministerial formation and praised the steps and policies taken by the government in recent months, especially in the area of economic reforms and strengthening partnerships with European countries following the Prime Minister's successful visits to France and Germany.
