The Video News Agency surveyed the opinions of writers and citizens participating in the Baghdad International Book Fair during a field trip to assess the level of public turnout and the intellectual diversity displayed within the corridors.
The Video Agency met with citizen Taghreed Ahmed, who told the Video News Agency that her current focus is on psychology publications, particularly the field of social psychology, due to its direct impact on understanding oneself and society. She emphasized that the massive public turnout reflects the Iraqi people's commitment to constant enlightenment and education.
For his part, Alaa Azzam, the owner of Dar Al-Wasi for Publishing and Distribution in Cairo, confirmed in his talk with the Video News Agency that Egyptian participation in the fair has been ongoing for over twelve years.
He pointed out that the Iraqi audience is characterized by high awareness and culture, with a notable interest in titles related to personal development, philosophy, politics, and history in both Arabic and English, including political memoirs and comprehensive historical works.
