The camera of the Video News Agency met during its rounds at the Baghdad International Book Fair with several workers in the participating publishing houses to learn about the most prominent works displayed and the level of public interest in various titles and literary productions.
Fadia Saeb from Turquoise Publishing House told the Video News Agency that the house has launched new titles that include fantasy and science fiction literature, in addition to publications aimed at children that focus on financial and accounting awareness.
She pointed out that the book "Manwar," which specializes in alternative and complementary medicine as well as herbs and natural stones, topped the best-selling books of the house, alongside the novel by writer Abdul Aziz and the stories of writer Ali Adhab inspired by reality.
For her part, the writer at Jim Printing and Publishing House, Jihan Al-Mousawi, confirmed to the news video agency that the house focuses on supporting young people and Iraqi writers to carry the banner of Iraqi thought and heritage, showcasing her new book that draws on the concept of the "storyteller" in a contemporary style, addressing political and social conflict and psychological manipulation.
She emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of mental health awareness and acceptance of psychological treatment and counseling to confront societal accumulations.
