The Dubai United FC and La Liga (Spanish League) announced a cooperation agreement between the two parties.
The agreement was signed during an event held in Dubai on Tuesday, in the presence of the La Liga president, Javier Tebas, and the president of Dubai United FC, Eli Sipano.
According to a statement from La Liga, which the news agency reviewed, this agreement represents a "new phase of institutional growth for the club in collaboration with La Liga, aimed at enhancing its off-the-pitch operations and developing the necessary capabilities for greater competitiveness and efficiency," following its promotion to the UAE Pro League.
The league clarified that the agreement "will focus on key areas to develop professional work within the club, including marketing, branding, content, matchday fan experience, hospitality, and fan engagement".
The league continued: "La Liga's office in the Middle East and North Africa will implement the program, with support from La Liga's specialized team in Madrid".
The league added: "Through its clubs office, La Liga has implemented over 272 tailored consulting projects designed to identify the specific needs of each club, and provide solutions that address its unique challenges and goals".
It concluded: "This achievement reflects La Liga's strong commitment to providing ongoing and direct specialized support to its clubs, within a framework based on collaboration and knowledge exchange, which will also form the basis for this project with the Emirati club".
Tebas commented on the agreement: "The management model we have built in collaboration with our clubs is one of La Liga's most valuable assets, and through the clubs office, we work daily with the 42 clubs in La Liga EA Sports and La Liga HyperMotion, in areas including business strategy, brand building, content, and fan experience".
He added: "Today, we are bringing these experiences to Dubai United FC, and the club's promotion to the UAE Pro League makes this timing ideal for taking this step, and our goal is to help the club develop its capabilities so it can compete and grow independently".
Meanwhile, Sipano, president of Dubai United FC, stated: "Our partnership with La Liga represents an important milestone in the club's journey and in our long-term vision for the future. Following our promotion to the UAE Pro League, we are entering a new phase of growth both on and off the pitch, and this collaboration will allow us to benefit from La Liga's vast expertise in club management, commercial development, brand building, and fan engagement".
Eli Sipano pointed out: "Our ambition is to build a strong and sustainable club managed to the highest professional standards, contributing to the continued development of Emirati football and enhancing its growing presence on the international stage".
Dubai United FC, under the management of Italian coach Andrea Pirlo, is currently in ninth place in the UAE Pro League standings, with 7 points after six rounds.
