The Nurooz team achieved victory over their host, Naft Maysan, while Al-Shorta drew with Erbil in two matches that took place on Friday evening, as part of the fifth round of the Iraqi Stars League.

The match took place at the Al-Shorta Club stadium at 9:00 PM, and with this result, Erbil raised their points to 11 in first place, while Al-Shorta raised their points to 8 in sixth place.
In a second match, Nurooz snatched three points from their host, Naft Maysan, after winning with a score of two clean goals.
The match took place at the same time at the Maysan Olympic Stadium, and the first half ended with Naft Maysan leading by one goal to none, scored by player Habib Al-Waslati in the 35th minute.
In the second half, Nurooz added their second goal in the 85th minute through player Marwan Hussein.
With this victory, Nurooz raised their points to eight in fourth place, while Naft Maysan's points remained at 3 in eighteenth place.
