The Iraqi women's team achieved victory today, Saturday, against their Qatari counterpart in the third West Asia Championship for women currently taking place in Jordan.
The Iraqi women's team managed to win in three straight sets, with scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-21.
The match took place at 4 PM Baghdad and Amman time, at the Sports Palace, as part of the championship which is held in a single round-robin format, featuring the teams of Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, and Lebanon.
The Iraqi team had begun its participation in the championship with a loss to the Lebanese team, with three sets to two, in a match that saw a close competition between the two teams.
